Ever since I can remember, I've dreamed about training and raising dogs. I grew up with Black Lab mix named Tanya and she was my first attempt at training. I can remember making agility equipment in my backyard and trying to convince her to go through the multiple obstacles. While she was an amazing family dog, her stubbornness led me to dream of one day owning a dog that was smart, loyal, and always ready to work.
That dream finally came true when I happened to meet a Border Collie breeder at a local farm store. Through this breeder, I was able to learn about the AKC and I just knew my future puppy would become a champion. In 2005, this breeder told me she had a puppy that would be perfect for me--and she was. Quest, as I soon named the little ball of fluff, was everything I had imagined my first Border Collie would be. She was smart, loved to work, and was my constant companion. We competed in 4H trials, and even earned a High in Trial in obedience during our final year in 4H. She earned her AKC championship and produced three litters of puppies--all of which received her effortless movement and loving temperament.
Now, Quest is enjoying her retirement as I expand my horizons and show her offspring. I strive to breed dogs that are healthy in both mind and body, and I spend months planning each litter. I want the dogs I breed to be an all-around Border Collie that can do everything from herding sheep, performance events, to just being your companion.
